We have an exciting range of children's birthday parties which can be tailored to your needs. Parties available include soft play, multi-activity, football or pool parties.

Learn to Swim with AquaEd
AquaEd is SLL’s learn to swim programme. We currently teach over 12,000 people per week, covering all ages and abilities. The scheme runs for 50 weeks of the year and you can enrol at any time. There is constant assessment to ensure you progress through the stages at a time that works for you.

Wild Camp Play Scheme
Every School Holiday | Ages 5-12
Enrol your kids onto our fun packed school holiday playscheme, Wild Camp! There are lots of activities on offer throughout the day including swimming, football, badminton, netball, the bouncy castle, team games and more! Full day or half day places available.

Under 5’s Activities

Bops and Tots – Monday 9.30am
An activity session where children can stay and play while you move and groove! We bring you one room where your children are entertained by staff and soft play whilst you take part in an energetic dance session.

Rhythm and Movement – Tuesday 9.30am
An interactive session that incorporates music, dance and play. The children will participate in music and movement group activities that will help develop and refine their social skills.

Super Sports Stars – Wednesday 9.30am
A multi-activity session that is designed to improve fundamental movements as well as getting your child involved in a variety of new sports.

Handle Bar Heroes – Thursday 9.30am
An indoor session allowing children to ride balance bikes and scooters in a safe environment. Courses are set up with music and balance activities to add to the fun.

Creepy Crawlies – Friday 9.30am
A supervised soft play session, specifically designed for under 5’s incorporating the bouncy castle and other equipment to engage your child’s imagination.

Catmose Kickers – Saturday 9.30am
A football session for under 5’s incorporating fun mini games and skills with a qualified coach.

Activities for 5 - 11 years

Wild Athletics – Monday 5pm 
A fun filled, educational session which includes fundamental skills for athletics such as jumping, running, throwing and much more.

Dance Factory - Tuesday 4pm (5-8 years) Tuesday 4.45pm (9-11 years)
Dance classes for all abilities, which include styles such as Street Dance, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Jazz.

Ball Games - Wednesday 5pm
Our ball games sessions offer a wide range of games to suit all ages and abilities, which will develop a variety of skills and sportsmanship.

Badminton Coaching – Thursday 5pm
Qualified coaching sessions for beginners or if you want to improve your game.

Football Coaching – Thursday 5pm
Suitable for all abilities, aiming to improve your football techniques such as passing, shooting, dribbling as well as developing teamwork skills and confidence.

Goal Keeper Coaching – Thursday 6pm
Suitable for all ages, working on techniques involved in goal keeping with drills to develop skills.

Inclusive Football – Friday 5pm
A football session to help build skills and confidence through games and matches. Tailored for all abilities.

Multi Sports Session – Saturday 9.30am
A variety of fun and games along with sports activities too, this is a great session for all interests, ages and abilities.

Basketball Coaching – Sunday 10am
With our friendly qualified coach the session allows children to learn new ball skills, basketball drills, have fun and make new friends.

Activities for 12-16 years

Touch Rugby – Tuesday 5pm (Girls Only) Tuesday 6pm (Mixed)
A session to learn techniques of rugby without the contact element of the game. A great way to keep active in a fun and friendly environment.

Family and Adult Activities

Walking Football - Monday 12.30pm, Wednesday 6pm and Friday 12.30pm
Only 32% of older men meet the recommended physical activity of 30 minutes a day, five times a week. So, get yourself active with walking football! A fun, sociable way of improving fitness levels, weight management and looking after your health. If you enjoy the beautiful game but find the higher impact version too much, come and join us over here. This activity is free to members.

3vs3 Basketball Mini League - Mondays 8.30pm
Join our basketball mini league and play against different teams in the area. Contact the centre today for more information.  

Walking Netball - Tuesday 10.30am and Thursday 10.30am
A fun, sociable way of improving fitness levels, weight management and looking after your health! If you enjoy netball but find the higher impact version too much, come and join us. This activity is free to members.

Inclusive Boccia -Thursday 1.30pm
Boccia is a precision ball sport, similar to bocce, and related to bowls and pétanque. A fun session to help build skills and confidence, tailored for all abilities.

Family Rounders Session – Sunday 2pm
Rounders is a fantastic activity you can play with the whole family. Come and join us for some family fun which will provide gentle exercise and help children work on their hand eye co-ordination, throwing and catching techniques and develop confidence.

Getting Here

Catmose Sports Centre is a 13 minute walk from Oakham Train Station. The bus route can be found here. Car parks are available around the centre and are free to members.
