Fairlands Valley Outdoor Activities Centre makes a great day out for schools and youth groups. Learn new skills in the water on our 11 acre sailing lake, speed down hills on grass boards and buggies or conquer the high ropes and climbing wall!
We offer a wide range of activities to try at Fairlands, both on land and on the water. These include: Bell Boats, Bushcraft, Buggies & Boards, Canoeing, Climbing, Crate Stacking, Dragon Boats, High Ropes, Grass Sledging, Jacobs Ladder, Kayaking, Leap of Faith, Mountain Bikes, Orienteering, Raft Building, Rowing, Sailing, Zip Wire, Stand Up Paddleboarding and Windsurfing
Although personal buoyancy aids must be worn, students do not have to be strong swimmers. We do ask that they are water confident, if they are not, please make us aware so that we can make provisions for this. We strongly recommend that teachers bringing groups for the first time visit before the first session.
The centre carries AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authotiry), DofE (Duke of Edinburgh), RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and BC (British Canoeing) recognition. Our facilities include a large training room which can be used for teaching, training, and corporate events, showers and changing rooms, and a café on site that offers a variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks.
