Welcome to Hitchin Outdoor Pool
Set in beautiful surroundings in Hertfordshire, our 50m heated outdoor pool is the perfect place to unwind, play and swim laps. We have a small pool and play area that is great to bring your little ones, as well as our Splash café, serving hot and cold food and drinks.
2023 Season
The outdoor pool is open from 27th May until 10th September. We will be running a late opening session on Tuesdays until 7.30pm.

Hot Weather Band System
SLL and North Herts Council will be introducing a band system for pay as you go customers at peak times during the 2023 season at Hitchin Outdoor Pool.
The aim is to improve customer experience, by reducing long queues, relieving parking difficulties and allowing more people to take advantage of the outdoor pool on hot days and in the summer holidays.
The band system will be in place every day of the school summer holidays and also on hot weather days outside of the holidays. Outside of the holidays we will communicate when the system will be in place on the website and social media channels.

Hitchin Swimming Centre & Archers Gym is a 17 minute walk from Hitchin Train Station. The bus route can be found here. Car parking is available next to the centre. During busy periods, additional parking is available at:
