Healthy Hub Wins National Award

Managed by Stevenage Leisure Ltd (SLL) in partnership with SBC, the Healthy Hub Stevenage was presented with the Strategic Partnership Award, highlighting the success of bringing together over 60 local organisations to ensure residents in Stevenage have access, education and signposting to services to improve the health and wellbeing of the town. The competition was stiff, with the Hub competing against 100 other nominations across the UK.

The Healthy Hub is a one stop shop providing information, advice and support to improve the health and wellbeing of the local community. A team of professionals are on hand to provide lifestyle support including mental health, physical activity, weight management, coping with cancer, Carers and smoking cessation. Since opening, the have been over 800 referrals with all saying they would recommend the scheme.

Ian Morton, SLL’s Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted that the Healthy Hub has received such prestigious recognition for the wonderful work it does. It’s a fantastic achievement for the whole team and showcases the hard work they continually put in.”
