SLL Awarded Sawtry Leisure Contract

Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL) will be the new Leisure Management Operator for Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust (CMAT)’s Sawtry Leisure Centre.

SLL won the tender for a one year contract that will begin on 1st October 2019 and SLL will be taking over from One Leisure. Sawtry Leisure Centre is a dual-use site located at Sawtry Village Academy. The centre was originally part of the school and provides a wide range of facilities such as a gym, workout classes and pool.

SLL’s Managing Director, Ian Morton said: “It’s great news that SLL has expanded to provide services in a new county. We look forward to working in partnership with CMAT to help the local community be healthy, happy and to enjoy their leisure.”

SLL works with local authority partners and other local stakeholders across three counties to manage 24 cultural and leisure facilities. The trust improves physical and mental health and wellbeing by promoting healthier and more active communities, and providing choice and incentives for all to participate through imaginative and inclusive programming.
