SLL hosts ella Forums' first leadership development group in Hertfordshire

16.05.2018

ella aims to bring together as many charity and social enterprise leaders who hold strategic and budgetary responsibility and wish to improve their leadership skills.

The structure of the meeting begins with an expert speaker and ends with a peer-to-peer learning session revolutionised by Brian Chernett. Brian founded the Academy for Chief Executives and has now carefully adapted his learning methods to the not for profit world.

The expert speaker at the launch meeting was Chris Hughes, an expert in branding and marketing with over 20 years’ experience, whose topic was Fierce Conversations.

Together with partnerships across the country, ella has over 20 groups and over 200 members, helping charities achieve new levels of social responsibility. According to a study done by the Social Value Engine, ella achieves a net social return on investment of £4.04 when £1 is invested, which is an increase on the £2.39 return which Kingston Smith reported in a study done in 2016.

The next Hertfordshire meeting will take place on Wednesday the 13th of June at Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre. To sign up and to find out more about ella Forums, you can visit their website www.ella-forums.org or contact brian@ella-forums.org
