Stevenage Swimming Centre Holds Diving Competition

On Saturday 19th December 2015, as part of its Aqua-Ed lesson scheme, Stevenage Swimming Centre organised a successful Diving Competition judged by Derek Beaumont, the ASA’s National Teacher Coach of 2014 Award Winner.

Pictured above (with SLL Diving Instructor Lauren Jones) are Sean Blackmore, a regular attendee in the Dive abilities class, along with Stevenage ex-Olympic Diver Martyn Brown who learnt to dive at the Centre.

The Coaches award went to Max Hill who has demonstrated outstanding level of Diving in 2015.

A raffle on the day for the divers parents, raised £100.00 for the Royal Free Hospital’s Liver Transplant Unit.

The event was organised by Diving Instructors Sally Mernagh and Lauren Jones, and Swimming Coordinator, Nina Morgan.
