Our SportEd team at Royston Leisure Centre offer a range of opportunities for gymnasts starting from beginners to development onto advanced.

Our coaches are experienced, qualified gymnastics teachers with a wealth of gymnastic knowledge who assess each gymnast during the class and decided when skills are achieved to the required level.

We have introduced our own badge scheme which has been adapted to suit our gymnasts and the equipment available. Our core badges run from 8 (basic) through to badge 1 (more advanced). When each level is passed, the gymnast can receive a badge and certificate. When core badges are completed, the gymnast can then move onto the more advanced levels (bronze, silver and gold) for each of the following disciplines: vault and rebound, artistic, fitness, bars, floor, and beam.

We run 42 weeks of the year with 2 weeks off for Easter, 6 weeks during summer holidays and 2 weeks at Christmas. Direct debits are adjusted accordingly.

Our classes are as follows:

Toddler Gymnastics (45 minutes)
Parent led sessions suitable for walking to age 3:
Mondays and Fridays; 9:30-10:15

Independent Toddler sessions, suitable for ages 3-5 years:
Monday and Fridays; 10:15-11:00am; Wednesdays; 13:15-14:00; 14:00-14:45pm

Gymnastics
Beginners 4+ (45 minutes)
Wednesdays 3:30-4:15pm

Beginners 5+ (60 minutes)
Wednesdays 4:15-5:15; Thursdays 4:00-5:00pm

Intermediate classes (60 minutes)
Wednesdays 5:15-6:15; Thursdays 5:00-6:00; Thursdays 6:00-7:00pm

Advanced classes (90 minutes)
Wednesdays 6:15-7:45pm
