Wild Play Letchworth
A brand new soft play facility is opening in Letchworth.
On Monday, 8 May, Play Wild Letchworth will open its doors to the public for the first time at North Herts Leisure Centre on Baldock Road, Letchworth. Hours of entertainment await children of all ages with a range of jungle-themed fun and physical activities including monkey bars, cargo nets, rope bridge, log ramp climber and small and large slides.
Sarah Kingsley, Place Service Director, said: “We’re really excited to be opening what we think is currently the only soft play facility in Letchworth. We know this is something local parents and their little ones want.
“Soft play facilities are great for giving toddlers and young children the freedom to play in a safe and secure environment. The interactive and entertaining equipment is designed to help them develop important skills like balance, coordination, and problem-solving, and they get to meet other little people and have fun!
“The new facility will increase usage at the centre and help generate income from our leisure portfolio, a benefit to all our residents.”
Prices and opening times vary, but on Saturday and Sunday Play Wild Letchworth is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm, all year round. For weekends and school holidays, we recommend booking in advance one of the four slots of 1 hour 45 minutes, either online or in person at the centre. The facility is cleaned between each session. Membership for unlimited use for one adult and one child is £15 a month, and additional children can be added for £10 per month.
Robbie Di Rubbo, General Manager at North Herts Leisure Centre, added: “The soft play facility is a great addition to the centre offering local families a fun and interactive place to visit and spend valuable family time together.”
The new facility, which gained overwhelming support in a public consultation last year, has converted two of the centre’s four squash courts and the changing rooms located in the same area.
